We are more than a coffee house. Don’t get us wrong, we love coffee and we believe we offer some of the best. But the fuel that has sustained this dream for over a decade is stronger than even caffeine: its mission.

Back in 2007, we had what we can only describe as a divine vision of a community-centered coffee shop in Fall City. We saw people from various walks of life gathering and forming connections that turn small-town congeniality into deep and meaningful relationships. We saw a struggling retail community coming back to life with the presence of a strong “watering hole” in place. And we saw a revenue stream ultimately providing more investment into our treasured community. What we saw forming was a social enterprise: coffee for a cause.

The past 13 years have been filled with ups and downs that, at times, have led us to believe that this dream wouldn’t be possible. From long-standing challenges with the septic system in Fall City, to waiting for the right partners to purchase the building, to obtaining approval from the Historical Landmark for the necessary build-out (and so much more) the Aroma journey has been marked by patience, perseverance, partnership, and purpose. We are humbled by the opportunity to pursue this dream.

Our Team

It was a craving for a deeper community that brought each of us together and a passion for amazing coffee that led us on the journey to founding Aroma Coffee Co.

The owner team includes Sara Cox, Kelsey Wilson, and Emily Ridout. Co-owning Aroma Coffee Co allows us to honor our values in our families, friendships, and community. We share the load of owning a small business by breaking down owner responsibilities into areas of natural gifting.

Sara Cox is the Administrative Director, overseeing administrative operations, financial management and banking; payroll; and facilities management.
Emily Ridout is the Communications Director, overseeing marketing and communications; media and public relationships; community engagement and events; and charitable giving.
Kelsey Wilson is the Operations Director, overseeing menu creation and management; vendor relationships; hiring, training and employee relations; and inventory management.
